Fife, Scotland

Situated in a scenic location on the South side of the river opposite Broughty Ferry Castle, the harbour provides berthing for around 100 boats, the majority on modern pontoons.

The harbour walls are used by fisherman and walkers enjoy the views. It is a fine place to watch the waders and other birds - plus in Summer the now-famous Tay dolphins - and is a place where river users can come ashore.

Tayport Harbour is a private working harbour in the River Tay estuary on the East coast of Scotland and is operated by Tayport Harbour Trust Ltd, a registered Scottish charity. The harbour is an important part of the Tayport and Fife communities and welcomes visitors from both land and sea.

Tayport itself is a historic harbour town with excellent views across to Broughty Ferry and down river to Tentsmuir Forest.

The town has a range of facilities including shops, healthcare, a caravan park and a golf course. There are good bus links to both Dundee and St Andrews and, via Leuchars, rail links to Edinburgh and beyond.
